Why did you join Wellness Village?

“I was looking for a way to be connected with the community since I am an out of state student. I was hoping to meet people who held values and goals similar to my own. I joined as a tool for adjusting to college.”

Would you recommend  Wellness Village to incoming students? Why or why not?

“I would absolutely recommend the village to incoming students. It is a great way to adjust to college, meet new people, and maintain your goals (no matter what they are). It is not all about fitness and nutrition, the wellness village can help you reach goals of quality sleep, time management, environmental change, academic standing, and even career connections for the future. It is a way you can meet well-rounded individuals. Everyone experiences wellness differently and you can learn from others about areas in which they struggle to stay “well” and share strategies for how to combat these struggles.“

Describe your best Wellness Village moment.

“I really had a good experience on the camping trip my freshman year. It was really cold but I felt like we all were able to bond and get to know each other a lot better. As an incoming freshman, the trip made me feel more connected with the people in Wood because I was still in the process of making new friends and adjusting to campus.“
