English Conversation Club is a great place native and non-native English speakers to have conversations in a relaxed environment. Non-native speakers are able to learn commonly used idioms, practice your conversation skills and learn American vocabulary. If you are a native English speaker that enjoys interacting with international students and scholars, then come to English Conversation Club. There is no application or registration required. We only ask that participants come ready to talk and have fun!

  • First Friday Raleigh

    January 3, 2020  6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Downtown Raleigh. See URL for locations.

First Friday is a free self-guided tour of downtown’s cutting edge cultural hot spots. Local art galleries, art studios, alternative art venues, and museums stay open late the first Friday of every month to welcome thousands of art-seeking enthusiasts downtown. Visit the galleries and listen to live music.

ArtSpace on Davie Street is a good place to start.

Downtown Raleigh is easily reached from the NC State campus by city bus (get the bus at the bell tower, go to Moore Square station), bicycle (go with friends – it will be dark on the way home!), and car. Directions and parking info at the First Friday webpage.
