Village Expectations

Arts Village Students

  • Live in Turlington Hall. Residents are required to uphold the Student Code of Conduct, University Housing Community Standards, and remain in good academic standing.
  • During the fall and spring semesters of your first year in the Arts Village complete AVS100 – Arts Village Forum.
  • Students who return to the Arts Village for a second year also register for the Arts Village Forum. However, second-year villagers have unique experiences to fulfill the AVS100 requirements. In the fall, you can take a track: a hands-on workshop just for Arts Villagers led by staff members in Arts NC State. In the spring, you can complete a capstone project, creating an arts-project of your choosing.
  • Have and maintain good academic standing with the university (2.0 GPA).
  • Turlington Hall is dedicated to the Arts Village, so all residents of the building, including your roommate, must be a member of the village.
