Why did you join the Albright Entrepreneurs Village?

“I joined the Albright Entrepreneurs Village for a number of reasons. I have a passion for entrepreneurship, and joining the village was awesome to bring me closer to the community at State that participates in all things entrepreneurship! I personally enjoyed meeting the people involved, and seeing diverse perspectives was and continues to be incredibly valuable to me! There’s no shortage of friendship and inspiration in the village, which is why I’m interested in remaining a member as long as possible!”

Would you recommend the village to future students? Why or why not?

“I’d recommend the village to future students, without a doubt. I think one thing we struggle with in the village is simply getting the word out. The AEV is an amazing experience, and can cultivate interest in entrepreneurship in people, no matter what their background is! I’d recommend the village to almost anyone, since entrepreneurship is a way to achieve your biggest dreams about what you’d like to accomplish. For everyone thinking “oh, I don’t know what to do with my degree,” come to the village! Being an entrepreneur doesn’t always mean risking everything and starting your own company. Entrepreneurship is a framework for thinking! You can apply things you learned studying entrepreneurship in almost any walk of life or profession! We accept people from every major!“

Describe your best village moment.

“Oh man, there’s too many to count! Between the late night games of ping pong on the second floor to the memorable experiences and tours from the village course, EI 100, there are far too many activities to choose from. If I had to choose one thing to describe as my best village moment, I think I’d pick the moment when I realized that this was where I belonged. It was late at night, and I was hanging out with my roommates (who I discovered through the village) and some other friends in the building, and I was just overcome with happiness looking at our little “family.” It truly is amazing when you pair passion for the same subject area with people living together. That’s how you make the closest friends and the best memories!”

Would you recommend the village to future students? Why or why not?

“Yes, because even if they are not entrepreneurs they could learn valuable skills and network with very important people. “

Describe your best village moment.

“My best village moment was competing in Entrepalooza for a 60-minute pitch contest for my social venture!”

Anything else you would like to add to your village experience?

“I love the village but they need more diversity. They need to try harder to increase female and black student participation. They should also recruit more than engineers. It is not appealing to only live around one type of person.”
